Life Groups

On Mission Together

Life Groups are a key part of our mission to reach our city with the gospel of Jesus Christ and build community within the local church. With an emphasis on worship, Bible study, and outreach, Life Groups connect the church with God, each other, and our neighbors throughout the course of daily life. In Life Groups, we explore faith, discover community, and serve on mission together.

Thrive: Living in Real Joy

God created us not merely to exist or be dutiful workers but to thrive in a life of joy. We may wonder how such a life is possible in light of the difficulties and drudgery of day-to-day living. This timely study of Philippians exhorts believers to understand the joy that is possible as we experience life in Christ through prayer, evangelism, giving, and so much more. An understanding of true joy makes it possible for believers to live in love and humility even as Jesus did, enabling us to become more and more like Christ.

More Than Enough: How Jesus Meets Our Deepest Needs

Jesus came to tell us about Himself. We can find our satisfaction in a relationship with Him, the Person, Jesus Christ. Through Jesus we can find peace, security, and fulfillment — everything we need. He is the great "I Am." In this six-session study, group members will delve into the Gospel of John and learn that Christ is truly more than enough by examining the "I Am" statements of Jesus.

The Dark Side: Protected & Equipped to Confront Evil

Evil is no illusion. While it can certainly reside in the hearts of people, such evil is most clearly seen in the one who seeks to inspire it: Satan. Whenever we engage in spiritual battle, whether our struggle is with demons, the paranormal, or fear, we need to pray and express our faith in the One with all the power. Only prayer moves us from relying on our own strengths (which are actually weaknesses) and trusting the all-powerful God. He provides us with spiritual armor and a battle plan because He desires to set us free.

When Relationships Collide

Conflict can be as trivial as two church members claiming ownership of the same seat. Or as complex as a broken marriage or a parent-child relationship. Sooner or later, it pokes its head into every relationship. What matters is your attitude or response to the situation. The Bible never shelters us from conflict. The good, the bad, and the ugly of real people are on full display. This study will help you discover principles for dealing with conflict in a healthy, God-honoring way by learning what the Bible says, what God's role is in it, and how God would have you resolve it.

Pressure Points: The Book of James

Pressure is nothing new. But rather than allowing it to crush their faith, James beckoned first-century believers to let the pressures of life push them deeper in their journey with Jesus. The Book of James beckons you, too. Open your heart and life to the truth of God's Word and deal positively with the pressure points in your life. Learn how to keep sin, frustration, harsh words, and wrong actions from ruining lives and hurting others. Pressure doesn't have to dismantle your faith; rather it can lead you to experience the presence and power of God like never before.
